Whole Black Girl Afterschool Program

Max Number: 10 girls
Audience: Baltimore-based Black girls aged 13-17 seeking sisterhood, safety, and wellness rituals.
about the program
The Whole Black Girl After School Program is a six-week cohort for Black girls, aged 13-17, in Baltimore City, We will meet once a week for 2.5 hours in downtown Baltimore. During the sessions we will incorporate Black cultural values, yoga therapy (i.e. yoga poses, mindfulness, and meditation), and educational content (safety promotion, violence prevention, sexual well-being). The participants will learn ways to foster sisterhood, appreciate their bodies and create healthy relationships while learning practices to manage stress.

During this six-week program we will address the following:
- Body Consciousness
- Mental Health
- Social Connections
- Safe and Healthy Spaces
- Safe and Healthy relationships
- Coping and Stress Management
This program is in partnership with Threads Research Lab and is funded by the Urban Health Institute at Johns Hopkins University.
There is a mandatory virtual Parent Orientation on Monday 9/15/25 at 6pm
We will be offering an additional cohort during this year. If the Fall dates don’t work for you, stay tuned for the future dates.
